Advice for Bringing New Ideas to Bosses

Advice for Bringing New Ideas to Bosses

Nov 14

I’m a young person working for a larger business – I’ve worked here for about two years. Once I got comfortable with my job I started looking for ways to make the business better, or to make it easier or cheaper on our end. I have a list of ideas that keeps growing, but I haven’t done anything with it. Being a young guy with only a little experience has made me reluctant to bring these ideas to my bosses. I admit that I am a little afraid that they won’t take the ideas seriously, or worse, that I will get in trouble for doing things that aren’t in my job description (coming up with new ideas).

Is there anyone in the local business community that can give me some advice? Should I be bringing these ideas to my boss? If so, how would I do that?
